“I didn’t choose cognac, cognac chose me”. I was sitting on post in the military, in a quiet moment between the chaos, writing a list of every dream I had been putting on hold and having a cognac brand was one. I wasn’t born into the spirits world, and I didn’t grow up around vineyards in France, but the more I learned, the more I realized I wasn’t stepping into someone else’s story. I was stepping into my own legacy; one that was already written in the culture, the history, and the spirit of the people who came before me.
Most spirit brands borrow stories. I didn’t have to. My story is real. My love for cognac is real. My connection to its history is personal and my mission is simple… to create a cognac that stands in its truth and to make sure our community sees themselves reflected in the luxury they helped build. Epochal isn’t just a bottle. It’s a continuation of history. It’s a tribute to the soldiers and the storytellers. It’s a celebration of Black excellence and global influence.
