Our Founder:  A Legacy in the Making

Niketa “Nikki” Chachere is the visionary force behind Epochal Cognac, the world’s first cognac brand founded by a Black woman veteran. Raised on the Southside of Chicago, Nikki’s journey has taken her from military service to becoming an international model. Two very different paths that shaped one bold vision.

Her career began in the United States Air Force, where she cultivated the discipline, leadership, and resilience that continue to define her approach to business. After honorably serving her country, she transitioned into the world of fashion, building a successful career as an international model. Traveling across global style capitals, Nikki became deeply attuned to the power of storytelling, elegance, and identity, elements that would later shape the soul of Epochal.

Driven by a desire to see more authenticity, diversity, and representation in the spirits industry, Nikki founded Epochal Cognac as both a brand and a statement. It is the manifestation of her belief that luxury should be inclusive; it’s about intention and honoring tradition while making space for new voices at the table.

Through Epochal Cognac, Nikki is crafting more than a fine spirit—she is cultivating a legacy. One that elevates untold stories, empowers women, and redefines the modern palate through a distinctly refined and culturally rooted lens.

With grit and grace in every bottle, she invites the world to experience cognac differently: as a symbol of strength, elegance, and enduring transformation
